About Tools
By “tools” we mean extensions of our abilities to act — like the crows that use twigs to get larvae — and quintessentially human discoveries and inventions that can extend our reach and our capabilities. We include online systems such as Loomio (for cooperative decision-making) —
Loomio is open source software, built by a worker-owned cooperative social enterprise. We are based in Aotearoa New Zealand, and are part of the Enspiral Network.
We believe that more groups practicing effective, inclusive decision-making can change organisational dynamics at a global scale. Loomio exists to make it easy for anyone, anywhere, to participate in decisions that affect their lives.

Sociocracy, also known as dynamic governance, is a system of governance which seeks to achieve solutions that create harmonious social environments as well as productive organizations and businesses. It is distinguished by the use of consent rather than [either consensus or ] majority voting in decision-making, and decision-making after discussion by people who know each other.
But also much simpler tools, technologies, and “appropriate solutions” for our times.
